It wouldn’t be until Officer Herbert Schirmer agreed to undergo hypnotic regression that he would recall in full the events of a cold December evening in Ashland, Nebraska. Not only did he recall going on board a strange hovering object, but also the information its occupants would volunteer to him. In short, the incident would appear to be contact with beings from another world – but beings, as we shall see later, who would look exactly like human beings.

What happened to Herbert Schirmer?

Might this last detail suggest, as some UFO researchers have theorized, that these visitors may not be visitors from far away in space, but perhaps far away in time?

While the revelations that would eventually spill forth from Schirmer’s mind are not anything extraordinary – at least in UFO terms – but aspects of them provide further supportive evidence for other accounts, separated by time and location, over the coming years. Furthermore, it is yet another account where there is an apparent desire to share information regarding propulsion and energy usage, something we will look at a little later on.

Before we look at Schirmer’s account, check out the video below. It looks at the theory of UFOs and their connection to time travel.

Lights On The Road

On 3rd December 1967, while conducting routine inspections along State Highway 63, Officer Schirmer would notice bright lights ahead. Fearing he was about to pull up on an overturned car with injured parties inside, he increased his speed slightly. When he reached the source of the lights, it became clear to him he wasn’t looking at an overturned car. He was not looking at a car of any kind.

In front of him, hovering several feet from the ground, was a strange, oval-shaped object. The craft had a metallic look to its exterior. Schirmer would estimate later in the ‘The Ashland Gazette’ newspaper that the object was at least twenty feet across.

The young police officer remained in his position, continually watching the craft. Then, without warning, it vanished upwards in an instant.

Schirmer would return back to the police station and would file a report with his superior officers. Aside from the brief interview given to the aforementioned publication, however, the incident was largely forgotten. That was until a little over two months later when the account would come to the attention of UFO researcher, Dr Leo Sprinkle.

Perhaps one interesting note about Sprinkle is his first encounter with a UFO. This occurred when he was a student at the University of Colorado in 1949. The sighting sparked a lifelong fascination with the subject. Perhaps of more interest though, are claims made by several UFO researchers and disclosure activists that the state of Colorado is of particular importance to those who wish to keep the UFO secrets under wraps. And further still, that many alien bases reside there.

Recovered Memories

Sprinkle believed upon reading of the encounter that the young policemen was likely missing “time” or memories of the evening. He had researched a wealth of UFO cases – particularly ones involving contact or even abduction.

He would travel to Ashland, successfully convincing Schirmer to undergo hypnotic regression. This would, in theory, recover the real events of that December evening.

Under hypnosis, Schirmer recalled heading towards the craft. He did this of his own free will and did not feel scared, but he would also state his body felt as though it was under some kind of “remote control!”

Once inside the other-worldly craft, several beings would greet him. They looked, however, exactly the same as any human being on Earth. Each adorned a uniform that itself had a strange “snake insignia” on it. Given the later, and to some outlandish, claims of reptilian aliens – who can shapeshift into human-form no less – this claim back in the late-1960s connecting a reptilian symbol to extra-terrestrial entities is perhaps of interest.

Schirmer’s decision to explore his memories so publicly would have a negative impact on the rest of his life. He would not return to the police force, in any capacity. Even worse, many soon viewed him as the “typical loon” making money from his crazy story. The criticism would grow so great that he would ultimately refuse to discuss the encounter publicly again.

The short video below looks at the case in more detail.

Propulsion Information (Again!)

Schirmer went on to state how the beings talked him through the propulsion system on the ship. This again is an interesting point that crops up repeatedly in claims of alien contact. Given that many whistle-blowers have gone on record stating that it is the propulsion systems of UFO craft that has kept the issue under a top-secret blanket, it is interesting that many people claim these beings are intent on sharing this information.

As we have discussed before, it is not purely down to travel that these propulsion systems could be of advantage to us. Many believe, in this technology, would be the answer to free ourselves from the need to use fossil fuels. This, in turn, would introduce the application of “free” energy. On the reverse side of the coin, those individuals or corporations that make vast amounts of money from oil and other fossil fuels would be rendered obsolete almost overnight. Perhaps it is not too much of a stretch to imagine such powerful individuals would want to keep this technology out of the public domain.

And if that is true, and repeated reports of volunteered information of such propulsion systems from alien beings are correct, then would it not suggest that their contact with human beings is for our long-term benefit?

Or might it be in their interest that we learn and widely utilize advanced methods of energy usage? Might this explain the increased amount of activity in and around nuclear stations and at locations storing nuclear weapons?

Perhaps more chilling might be the also often repeated warnings that should we not do this. That other “outside” influences to Earth may take matters into their own hands to ensure we do.

I absolutely believe Sshirmer’s story. I am ex Navy and have had experiences with this business myself. I am almost 75 and married with a great daughter and three adorable feline buddies. My wife witnessed one of the incidents and police on two others. This galaxy has many billions of stars and most have planetary systems lrike ours. One would have to be a complete idiot to think we are alone in this vast universe. They are not using primitive rocket propulsion like we do. Boeing, Lockheed and our military already know this.
