The alien encounter case of Cat Williams from Texas is one of many on record that features some kind of healing intervention. It is also one in which the witness didn’t become fully aware of the events until decades later. Not only did Cat recall a visit from an entity from elsewhere, but she was seemingly cured of a life-threatening illness and noticed further changes to her behavior and personality.
Indeed, given that there are many more of these intervention cases than we might think, we might wonder why apparent alien entities would bother to perform such medical procedures purely for the betterment of seemingly random individuals. This adds yet another layer to the already complex and nuanced mysteries of UFOs and alien encounters.
The incident became public after the main witness sent a report to the Weird World YouTube channel. It has rarely been discussed publicly.

A Short Stay In Hospital
The account begins in 1984 or 1985 when Cat was only eight or nine years old and lived with her family – her mother and father, and her older sister and younger brother – somewhere in the South Texas area. At the time, she was not at all well, and she had a memory of lying on the couch in the living with her mother standing over her, asking if she needed to be taken to the emergency room at the hospital. Cat recalled that she was having difficulty breathing – so much so, in fact, that she couldn’t answer her mother.
The next thing she knew, Cat was at the hospital. She could remember the bright, white lights of the hospital corridors, as well as a doctor in a white coat. Perhaps her most vivid memory is of an oxygen mask being placed on her face. At the same time, she could hear the doctor telling her she wouldn’t have to wear it for long.
Ultimately, she was diagnosed with pneumonia and remained in the hospital for around two weeks. She recalled only some of the details of her stay, such as receiving homemade cards from her classmates, as well as reading several Snoopy books that she borrowed from the hospital library. Eventually, her family was allowed to take her home, which caused Cat to believe that she was fully better and recovered. However, things would turn very strange shortly after.
Someone In The Room
Several days after leaving the hospital, while she was sleeping, the strange events began. She had fallen asleep on her back, with a stack of several pillows beneath her head to help her breathe. However, when she woke in the middle of the night, not only was the room in complete darkness, but she now found herself lying on her stomach. Without moving, she scanned the darkened room and was able to make out a “dark figure” standing close to her bed, with another almost identical figure behind it.
She estimated the figures were around five feet tall and, to begin with, believed they were two men – possibly thieves – wearing some kind of disguise who had broken into her room. She recalled not being able to move, although she wasn’t sure if this was from pure fear or because these strange figures had used some kind of technology to paralyze her.
She closed her eyes, deciding that pretending to be asleep would be the best course of action, hoping that the “thieves” would take what they wanted to leave the room without paying her any attention. Then, she felt the bottom edge of her bed go down in a way that would indicate a person had sat on the edge of the bed. A surge of terror went through her. The next thing she knew, she could feel something going down her back – something that she likened to being a ballpoint pen. As it moved down the left-hand side of her back, she could feel the pressure of it digging into her – so much so that it was bordering on causing her significant pain. Then, in what seemed like a moment, it was morning.
A Second Encounter
When she opened her eyes, the first thing she noticed was the bright sunshine lighting up her room. A moment later, she bolted from her bed and ran to the living room,, where she found her mother. She immediately screamed at her to check the carpet in her bedroom for footprints because people had been in her room during the night.
Her mother did her best to reassure her that it must have been a dream and that there had been no people in the house during the night, stating that all the doors and windows were securely locked. When Cat had calmed down a little, her mother told her that the medication she was taking due to the pneumonia could cause her to hallucinate and see things that weren’t there. Cat, however, was certain this had not been a dream or a hallucination. What she had experienced during the night was very real.
Her mother told Cat that if it happened again, she was to look straight at the figure and tell it to “go away”, certain that this would cause her daughter to come to her senses and realize the strange entity was not real. Later that night, she did indeed undergo another unsettling experience. She found herself looking at a “small green being” he was standing by her bed, staring at her. She recalled her mother’s words and shouted at the entity to go away, but to her disbelief, it disappeared right before her eyes.
Decades later, however, while watching television, a surge of other memories about the evening’s events came flooding back to her.
A Sudden Flood Of Recall
A little after her 40th birthday, Cat was watching a television documentary about demons when an image of a green being appeared on the screen—almost identical to the entity that had been in her room that evening when she was only eight years old. Immediately, the memories of her childhood encounters flooded back.
A short time after this, she was in her local library when she happened upon a book about alien encounters. Immediately drawn to it, she began to flick through the pages, eventually settling on an account about a man who claimed he was often visited by strange “dark beings” in his bedroom during the night. The more she read, the more memories came flooding back. By pure chance, at around the same time as the mental floodgates opened, Cat’s mother happened to be coming to town to visit her. Cat decided she would bring up the encounters with her mother during the visit.
When the pair did speak, Cat’s mother claimed she had no memory of her daughter telling her of the encounters. She did, though, recall that the doctor who had treated her for pneumonia in the hospital had not simply allowed her to go home; he had told Cat’s mother that Cat was not responding to treatment and that there was nothing else they could do for her. Essentially, when Cat’s mother took her home, she thought she was taking her home to die.
This was the first Cat had heard about this, and she now began to wonder if the device the being had pushed against her back during the encounter in her bedroom had cured her.
Memories Slotting Into Place
The more Cat considered this possibility, the more details came to mind. For example, following the incident with the strange being, Cat noticed how her personality had changed somehow. She suddenly found herself to be a completely neat and ordered person, right down to making her bed perfectly each morning and keeping her closet meticulously organized. In fact, this compulsion was so great that if she noticed any type of mistake in this organization, she became intensely angry, sometimes even inflicting pain on herself.
It was also around this time that her mother suddenly started taking her to church and Bible study, where she learned of a person’s body being a temple and how a person should take care of their body. She remembered that as she grew into a teenager and an adult, she never smoked, drank, or took any drugs, as well as trying to stay as healthy as possible. As the years went on, her obsessive behavior and need for order relaxed a little.
She eventually had an X-ray performed on her back, but nothing of interest was found, and certainly no implant that she had expected to find. She also began to carry out other research.
Many Other Similar Encounters On Record
She began to look at the records on the Mutual UFO Network’s website. She noticed that around the 1984-85 period, she noticed multiple UFO encounters on record. She began to seriously question that at least one of those UFO encounters was connected to what she now genuinely believed was alien visitation during her own childhood. She also now genuinely questioned whether they really had cured her of her ailments and, essentially, saved her life.
One UFO researcher and investigator who has documented many alien encounters, including over 300 involving apparent healings of people during such encounters, is Preston Dennett, who relays such encounters in his book The Healing Power of UFOs. Not only did his research suggest that around 50 percent of all alien encounters involved healing of some kind, but that the pen-like device Cat recalled is also often noted in many of these other cases. Dennett theorized that this device likely uses electromagnetic energy and administers some kind of light therapy.
Dennett further offers that the details of Cat’s case also mirror other encounters, with many people claiming to have been woken deep in the night while these apparent alien visitors administer these apparent healing therapies. Dennett also highlights other encounters featuring people driving or walking when a UFO suddenly appears and sends a beam of light directly onto them – a beam of light that likely, Dennett suggests, contains some kind of healing property. Dennett, though, also highlights other, even more amazing cases.
More Cases Than We Might Think
Dennett also highlighted cases of people having more serious illnesses, such as cancer. More often than not, these people are taken on board a waiting craft where they seemingly receive some kind of treatment, perhaps suggesting that because of the seriousness and complexity of such an illness, more specialist equipment might be required, equipment that can’t be used on the move.
Even more amazing, Dennett highlights that at least 10 percent of these cases actually occur inside hospitals. A typical scenario involves a doctor—who looks “mostly human”—discreetly entering a hospital room and administering treatment that appears to completely eradicate whatever disease or ailment the respective person is suffering from. More often than not, when the patient’s usual doctor reviews the patient in the aftermath, they are at a loss to explain their sudden improvement, sometimes a complete reversal of what they are suffering from.
Dennett also noticed other intriguing details. For example, despite being cured of their illnesses, most people who underwent such ordeals, like Cat, would often have feelings of terror and even violation following their encounters. However, with time, most begin to feel a sense of gratitude for such an intervention.
Another Layer To An Already Unknown Agenda
In addition to documenting many cases of this kind, Dennett also highlights several potential reasons for these kinds of medical interventions by apparently alien visitors from elsewhere in the universe. One reason suggested, for example, is that rather than being purely and solely for the benefit of each individual person, these interventions could be part of long-running research into human genetics, lifespan, and how such interventions influence the rest of each respective person’s life.
Dennett also highlights how some people taken by these potential extraterrestrials have been denied such interventions. The specific reasons for these treatment revocations are unknown, and perhaps this only serves to muddy the waters even more.
There is also a suggestion that these visitors have selected people who help others, often teachers or doctors who work with animals or on environmental issues. What is interesting about this suggestion is that Cat Williams’ intervention came when she was only eight years old, long before she began working in such a “helping” capacity as an adult. This would suggest prior knowledge on the aliens’ part—essentially, their ability to see into the future.
Whatever the reasons might one day prove to be, as Dennett points out, these types of alien encounters have taken place with individuals from different parts of the world, different religious or political beliefs, both male and female, young and old, and from all walks of society. Essentially, the only pattern would appear to be no pattern.
A Targeted Intervention?
While the specific reasons for the apparent intervention by alien entities in Cat William’s life remains unknown, it is clear that she is part of a large number of individuals around the world. It seems clear that whatever the reasons for Cat’s and other’s experiences are part of a predetermined and purposely planned-out course of action.
Indeed, we might ask, just how do these cosmic visitors know who to target, and what are their reasons for doing so. Does it suggest some kind of global record-keeping on these visitor’s part, perhaps part of some kind of long-running and far-reaching agenda that we are not aware of? Are these interventions just a small part of the overall reasons for the alien abductions that have been happening for decades, perhaps even longer?
Whether or not any further information regarding the alien encounters of Cat Williams comes to light in the future remains to be seen. The fact is, though, her experience with these mysterious entities, like other similar encounters, serves to build up a bigger and clearer picture of just what might reside at the heart of these strange events.
The video below explores this case a little further.
